I love black & white photographs

To me, they tell a tale of nostalgic memories, frozen in time. Every once in awhile, I start digging through all my old family pictures that my Mom had diligently salvaged over the years.

Apparently back in the early 60's it was acceptable to tie your child to a tree. This is me and my Dad in the background. Does it look like I am trying to escape?

Yes, the tree was not happy to have me attached to it:

Here is a better picture of my Dad. When I was born, we lived with my Grandmother & Grandfather Guthrie for the first year of my existence. This was taken in my Grandmothers living room.

This is my aunt Carolee (Guthrie) and I. She is my Mom's half-sister and only 11 months older than me. While we were growing up, everyone thought she was my sister. It is ironic that after her Dad passed away, my Dad built an apartment for her and my Grandmother in our basement.

One last Black and white. This is myself (holding onto the kitten), Carolee to the right and Brenda Leah MacKinnon on the left.

Did I mention that there is only 51 working days left till May 24 weekend???
